The Chester A. Poling was a 281-foot coastal oil tanker that sank on January 10, 1977. The bow section sank upside-down in deep water, and the stern section sank in 100-foot water a half-mile off of Eastern Point Lighthouse just outside of Gloucester Harbor, Cape Ann, Massachusetts. The stern sits upright on a flat sandy bottom and is heavily covered with marine life. It is about 1500 yards southeast of the Dog Bar Breakwater.
